Presenter Suzan K. Thompson, PhD is an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. Thompson’s doctoral degree is in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Virginia. She has been an LPC supervisor since 1999 and in private practice since 2001. She is a former full-time faculty member at Old Dominion University, where she taught both Introduction to Supervision and Advanced Supervision courses to master’s and doctoral-level students. Dr. Thompson engagingly teaches relevant information from the supervision research literature as well as practical tools and effective processes for providing clinical supervision.
